Season 3 tapings
Here is my review from the Doodlebops season 3 concert tapings that i forgot to post:

I went to the Season 3 concert tapings! Only a few people knew and I would like to thank you guys for keeping it hush hush since I wanted to suprise everyone. Plus I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it...it was totally last minute.
I took the greyhound - over 50 hours of being on a bus with, what felt like, 34287 transfers. The ride coming up was so awful that I wanted to take a plane back home, but after looking into it more, I decided it would just be too much trouble. In the end, I stayed in Canada a little longer then planned and I took the bus back. The ride home was a tad bit better.
anyways! I had a blast. Turns out there was an extra taping added. I actually found out when I arrived in Canada. This one took place at 11am, which I was able to attend as well.
The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts is lovely.
On the patio, behind the theatre, they were taping the streeters parts. Kids would say "Where's Moe?" or "Don't Pull the Rope"....etc. They even had a clothes rack set up full of shirts if they wanted a kid to wear one.
Things were def. upgraded this year. The blinking pins were used once again but this time they were actually shaped like the Doodlebops logo compared to last years glued on ones - I was able to get a couple extra's so expect a contest soon to try and win one!
Here's what the tickets looked like and the seats weren't color coded this year. Seating was first come, first served. I sat on the right side at all shows.
It was set up the same way as last year, but better. You walk in and they had a camera guy fliming the kids giving their tickets. We would have to wait in the lobby for a few minutes, which was decorated with posters of the Doodles. They had televisions on which played music videos and season 2 episodes that you could watch before being seated. The Doodles came into the lobby before the 11AM taping and did a small meet & greet with everyone - that was the only taping in which this was done.
The tapings were done differently this year. Only 5 songs were played at each show and then an encore. For the encore, it would be a song from season 1 or 2 - if i remember correctly they did Whobbly Whoopsy at 11am, I Can Dance at 2pm and Bird is the Word at 4pm. They did the breaks again so the Doodles could get touch ups in between songs. To keep us entertained...a woman named Madame Buskerfly (Thanks Linda!) would come out and do little acts. Then Fay would come out and teach everyone the dance for the next song.
This theatre was bigger then last years, with a real steep slope. We were told to take pictures as well! My face lit up....I was so happy...I just LOVE taking pictures as you know.
Out of all 3, the 3rd was my favorite..then the 2nd. Everyone was much more awake then at the 11am one - but they were all pretty awesome. At the 2pm taping there were a group of pre-teens over on the left side and they were just dancing around to the songs and having a great time. Jazzmin also did a song - she has an amazing voice. There is this one song Rooney sings...and he just starts rocking out on his gutair...loved it.
Deedee has a huge keyboard now...its amazing. Moe's drums now have a line of cowbells over it...and Rooney has a new gutair which looks hot - it has flames on it :roontounge:
OH, and in one song Rooney played a yellow Bass (I believe you can see it in the recording studio in the season 2 episodes). Anywho, I loved that cause I play the Cello. I cracked up at that, just the way he was playing it.
All 3 of them danced great! They were really together.
season 3 seems like it is going to be great. I loved the songs and dances. I can't wait! I'm so glad to have had the chance to experience the concert tapings once again. It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of great people.
